About Deborah Lowndes
My name is Deborah, and I am an integrative psychotherapist, drawing on psychodynamic, body-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed approaches, adapted to each client’s unique needs. I approach client work in a caring, non-judgmental, collaborative manner, trusting that my clients will guide the process through their individual experiences. If you’re trying to make sense of who you are because of life transitions, chronic illness, or a stage in life where everything feels uncertain, I can work with you. Together, we’ll navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal ruptures, and hard-to-change patterns preventing you from leading a meaningful life.
My training includes studies in psychological science, a Bachelor of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Diploma of Counselling and Psychotherapy. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with clients ranging in age from 14 to 80, supporting people experiencing complex PTSD, relational difficulties, life-transition confusion and loss of identity, and complex symptoms associated with trauma, OCD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. I bring this clinical experience, alongside ongoing training and supervision, to my integrative practice.
I’m currently accepting new clients face-to-face or via telehealth, with in-person appointments available Thursday and Friday.
