About Kerryne Chia

Kerryne is a clinical psychologist who is passionate about supporting people to improve their wellbeing and reach their personal goals. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, client-centred, and empathetic while bringing a sense of humour to sessions.

Kerryne supports clients with a wide range of concerns including (but not limited to) stress, anxiety and mood disorders, eating disorders, bariatric and weight management, self-esteem, body image, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties, suicidal ideation and self-harm. She also enjoys working with individuals who may not necessarily have a mental health diagnosis, but who seek a safe space for reflection and to address issues impacting on their relationships or functioning.

Kerryne draws from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each client’s needs. She is LGBTIQA+ affirming and can support individuals in their exploration/affirmation of their gender and sexuality. As a culturally diverse person herself, Kerryne welcomes clients from different backgrounds.

Kerryne has worked in child and adolescent mental health services, outpatient and residential eating disorders programs, bariatric medicine, and gender services within the public health system.
