About Tidus Artorius
Tidus is a psychologist with a calm, collaborative, and person-centred approach. He completed a Master of Clinical Psychology and is a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. He understands that stress, worry, and low mood can be difficult to put into words, and that many people carry these experiences quietly until they begin to affect work, relationships, or self-meaning. His focus is on making the first step into therapy feel steady, respectful, and manageable.
He takes time to understand each person’s history and what matters most to them. His work is evidence-based and grounded in clear, down-to-earth conversations. Tidus draws on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), metacognitive therapy (MCT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), while integrating elements from other evidence-based approaches where helpful, including compassion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy.
Tidus helps clients make sense of their inner world, recognise unhelpful patterns, and develop more flexible and compassionate ways of responding to stressors. His approach is particularly helpful for people experiencing anxiety related disorders, depression, self-criticism, perfectionism, studies and work-related pressures, adjustment difficulties, relationships and attachment challenges, reduced sense of meaning, or the longer-term effects of adversity or trauma.
Respect, clarity, and consistency guide his work into helping clients develop clearer self-understanding, and a more grounded sense of direction. Tidus aims to build a dependable therapeutic relationship and offer strategies that are realistic and sustainable.
He works with clients of all genders and cultural backgrounds and provides LGBTQ+ affirming care – supporting clients from all walks of life.
